Tony Agudelo is a partner at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, PC and his practice includes complex cases in product liability, toxic torts including asbestos defense, mass torts, medical malpractice, premises liability, personal injury, liquor liability, and business disputes. Tony currently serves as vice chair of the MBA’s Civil Litigation Section and as a member of the MBA’s Internal Working Group on “Cost Effective Civil Litigation.”

Tony’s practice encompasses not just Massachusetts, but the New England region and New York. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and wrongful death claims for years. He has also represented manufacturers, distributors and retailers in product liability claims involving a variety of products. These products include power tools, motor vehicles, construction machinery, household appliances and machinery, arts and crafts materials, children’s play equipment, lawn and garden equipment, pharmaceuticals and other consumer goods.  Many of these cases have involved complicated medical and scientific evidence.

Tony’s recent successes include a victory in the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in a product liability case, and a highly-contested summary judgment motion in a products liability asbestos case. He frequently moderates panel discussions on topics such as “Winning Closing Arguments” and “Communications, Apology and Resolution.” Click here to read more about Tony’s practice.
