Opioid addiction has reached epidemic proportions. Injured workers are among those who face addiction issues as the result of long term use of narcotic medication for many disabling injuries.
The panel of speakers includes a treating physician, the chair of the Governor's Task Force for Opioid Addiction, and members of the Massachusetts Bar Association's alternative mediation program for opioid addiction now being implemented in several Department of Industrial Accidents regions.
