View from the Bench: E-Discovery

When:  May 23, 2018 from 04:30 PM to 06:00 PM (ET)

The Massachusetts Bar Association’s Judicial Administration Section is pleased to bring its “View from the Bench” program series back to Boston this spring. View from the Bench programs provide valuable insights for new attorneys and seasoned litigators, allowing for an opportunity to pose questions to a judicial panel in a comfortable and confidential environment.

Judicial Administration Section Vice Chair Michael H. Hayden will moderate a panel discussion with sitting judges who will discuss recent amendments to the Massachusetts and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, which focus squarely on electronic discovery and now allow for discovery plans concerning electronically stored information.

Please join us for a panel discussion, featuring Superior and Federal Court judges, concerning party obligations to:

  1. Preserve
  2. Disclose
  3. Produce
  4. Supplement
  5. Pay for electronically stored information

Additional topics will include the potential sanctions parties may face for non-compliance, cost allocations, subpoena of ESI from non-parties and admissibility at trial.

A networking reception will follow the panel discussion.
