Minimizing Discovery Disputes and Controlling Your Client's Legal Spending

When:  Jun 4, 2015 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM (ET)

The first rule of civil litigation counsels the bench and bar to pursue the "just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action." Mass. R. Civ. P. 1. Yet, the aspirational nature of this rule is many times stretched to its breaking point when counsel become embroiled in discovery disputes that should have been avoided, or otherwise, when counsel do not handle discovery -- eDiscovery in particular -- in a collaborative way. In turn, this prevents the parties from focusing on the merits of their disputes and achieving the type of determination contemplated by Rule 1.

This seminar seeks to provide litigators with the tools they need to control the cost of discovery and minimize disputes through cooperation and use of the rules, while still being a zealous advocate for their clients every step of the way.
