Intellectual Property Litigation Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association,
in conjunction with the Complex Commercial Litigation Section and the Business
Litigation Committee, invite you to this brown bag lunch for a panel
presentation by Laurence A. Schoen of Mintz Levin and
Christian G. Samito of Jouret & Samito, LLP, on LightLab
Imaging, Inc. v. Axsun Technologies, Inc., SJC-11374 (July 28, 2014) regarding
admissibility of expert testimony on lost profits in commercial
litigation.
Mr. Schoen,
who is the Vice-Chair of the Complex Commercial Litigation Section, specializes
in complex financial litigation, was on one of the legal teams that litigated
LightLab Imaging, Inc. v. Axsun Technologies, Inc.
Christian
Samito also specializes in complex business litigation and is the author of
several books on American legal history. Mr. Samito's articles have been
published by The Wall Street Journal and Forbes.com and he wrote about the
LightLab decision for Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Mr. Schoen and
Mr. Samito will focus their discussion on the implication of the LightLab
decision on trade secret litigation.
