9-9:15 a.m.: Opening Remarks from Young Lawyers Division Chair Michael Molloy
9:15-9:45 a.m.: Keynote Address
Victoria Santoro Mair, past YLD chair and current partner at Meehan, Boyle, Black & Bogdanow PC, will share strategies, tips and legal stories to provide guidance to young lawyers entering the practice of law in Massachusetts.
9:45-11:00 a.m.: The Path to Success: Open Panel with Past YLD Chairs
The panel will consist of lawyers who have achieved early success and continue to be successful in law firms or solo practice. Panelists will provide critical advice, hints and tips on the path to success.
11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Preventing and Dealing with Harassment and Bullying as a Young Lawyer
This panel will discuss effective strategies for dealing with harassment and unprofessional behavior within law firms and in the courtroom.
12:15-1:15 p.m.: Networking Lunch
1:15-2:30 p.m.: Break-Outs (Choose one)
What I Wish I Had Known as a Young Litigator
The panel will discuss how to effectively resolve discovery disputes and strategies for additional pretrial issues.

The panel will discuss practical negotiation strategies, practice tips and pitfalls to consider when drafting business agreements, and the nuts and bolts of representing start-ups and small businesses.
2:30-2:45 Networking Break
2:45-4:00 p.m.: Plenary Session: Representing Clients Workshop
Experienced advocates will provide tips and guidance for developing your skills when representing clients across racial, gender and cultural boundaries. Unconscious thoughts often leak into our decision-making, which can have a profound impact on the practice of law. Panelists will discuss concrete ways to interrupt those biases so you can serve your clients more effectively.
