Fresh from her annual update at the 2020 MCLE School Law Conference, we are
pleased to have Nancy Nevils joining us for a closer look at recent Bureau of
Special Education Appeals (BSEA) decisions and a discussion of what we can learn
from them.
Nancy N. Nevils is a partner at Stoneman, Chandler &
Miller LLP, specializing in the field of education law, including special
education, student discipline and all other school-related matters. Nevils is a
cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she was both an
author and editor for the Transnational Law Journal. She also holds a B.A. in
Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University. Prior to joining
Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP, Nevils was a law clerk to the
administrative law judges of the United States Department of Labor in
Boston.
Nevils writes quarterly legal commentaries about BSEA decisions and rulings
from the public school perspective, which the Massachusetts Special Education
Reporter publishes. She is also a frequent speaker on special education and
other school law issues throughout Massachusetts.
