A conversation on the MBA's Tiered Community Mentoring Program

When:  Sep 28, 2021 from 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM (ET)

Are you an attorney or judge interested in the Massachusetts Bar Association's Tiered Community Mentoring (TCM) Program? Join program leaders for a virtual conversation on Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., to learn more about the 2021-22 program and how you can get involved.

The MBA's TCM program introduces high school students to information about college, provides pre-law college students with information about the law school admission process and gives law students an inside view of the practice of law with their attorney mentors. It won the 2011 ABA Partnership Award from the American Bar Association because of its commitment to diversity.

This worthwhile volunteer program creates a pipeline for career success for young people from communities across the commonwealth. This year's programs will be held virtually and continue to serve urban high school students in both Boston and Worcester, with a focus on building a diverse mentoring network. By sharing real-life experiences and guidance, attorney-mentors help participants make informed decisions regarding their future careers.

We hope you will join us on Sept. 28 to discuss the ways you can get involved in this program and share your knowledge of the legal profession and career advice with high school, college and law school students.

Program speakers will include:

  • MBA President Thomas M. Bond
  • Barnstable County Probate and Family Court Judge Angela M. OrdoƱez
  • Supreme Judicial Court Associate Justice Dalila Wendlandt
  • Past program participant and MBA staffer Robert P. Jackson III

This meeting will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, to participate in this informational meeting. After you register with the MBA, please look for an email from MBA Director of Community & Public Services Beth O'Neil with the Zoom Meeting ID and Password. The email will be sent before the program on Sept. 28.
