Employers should have protocols in place and the tools in hand to promptly, effectively and thoroughly investigate internal complaints to minimize potential exposure. Employees, on the other hand, should have the opportunity to evaluate internal investigations to ensure that the workplace misconduct at issue is thoroughly investigated and prompt remedial measures are taken.
