Contemplating a Practice in Health
Law?
Health law spans a variety of activities within a highly
regulated industry. Although other legal specializations tend to focus on
one legal issue cutting across different industries, health law focuses on one
industry encompassing many legal issues. Among the areas of law you may find in
a health law practice are:
• Transactional: corporate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and
financing
• Regulatory: administrative hearings/advocacy, legislation,
policy
• Operational: privacy, human resource/labor law, litigation
If you’re thinking about health
law as a career, the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Health Law Section is
providing an opportunity to hear from lawyers currently practicing various kinds
of health law. You’ll be able to hear about what they do and how they came to do
it; ask them about their practice and career path in a Q & A session; and
network informally with the presenters and your fellow
students.
