I am a rising 2L at New England Law | Boston. I decided to attend law school as a result of the exposure I experienced to the law as a small business owner. I am currently working as a summer intern through The Boston Bar Association where I assist a Judge in Boston Municipal Court. This summer I have observed many exciting things in the court, including both criminal and civil matters. I have watched bench trials, jury trials, motions to suppress, arraignments, pre-trial hearings and civil commitments. I have researched and written memos on evidence and the hearsay exceptions, restitution, administrative law, employment law and breach of a contract.
I am still exploring my potential career paths, and have had a fantastic opportunity to explore many different types of law this summer. I have attended lunch panels at the Boston Bar Association on what it is like to be a prosecutor, defense attorney, family lawyer, and a government lawyer.
