  • Great Speakers and Large Turnout Mark Part 1 of the Lifecycle of a Business Series

    On January 8, 2013, from 5 to 7pm, the Business Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division hosted Part 1 of the third-annual Lifecycle of a Business Series. A large crowd, both in person and online, heard from two terrific speakers. During the first hour, Adam D. Page, of Finneran & Nicholson, P.C., delivered a presentation entitled 'Choosing The Right Business Entity.' Adam's hour was marked by useful information for all types of practitioners and a wide variety of questions from the audience. In the second hour, Stephen Y. Chow, of Burns & Levinson LLP, presented "Protecting Intellectual Assets." Steve's expertise in the various areas of intellectual property law made for an interesting presentation and gave every lawyer and law student helpful information. Part 2 of the Lifecycle of a Business Series will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 5-7pm, at the Massachusetts Bar Association, 20 West Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Part 2 can also be viewed online. Part 2's topics and speakers include the following: Land Use/Permitting by Brian Glennon of Cumberland Gulf Group; Insurance Considerations by Nancy D.
