Human Labor Trafficking Open Meeting
You are invited to join the Individual Rights and Responsibilities Section on March 24, 2014 from 3:30-5:30 pm at the MBA, 20 West Street, Boston in welcoming guest speakers Attorney Richard Mann and Attorney Nancy Kelly who will discuss human trafficking of domestic workers and offer traps and tips to help you represent your client. The presentation will focus on:
Federal and state anti-trafficking laws;
Wage Act violations;
Domestic workers Bill of Rights;
Wage recovery protection from predators;
Tax liability issues when wages are recovered;
Special visa programs; and
ICE interaction.
