  • Complex Commercial Litigation Section

The Massachusetts Bar Association has formed a new section for the benefit of its members. The Complex Commercial Litigation Section is comprised of Massachusetts litigators and in-house counsel who handle sophisticated business disputes of various stripes throughout the Commonwealth, including intellectual property, business contract, business tort, and bankruptcy disputes. The purpose of the new Section is to act as a vehicle through which lawyers practicing in the Business Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Superior Court and other state and federal courts in the Commonwealth can create educational programs, networking opportunities, and publications that help members of the Section better serve their clients and promote the administration of justice. The Section has three practice groups which address the primary practice areas of (1) business litigation (including business torts and complex contract disputes), (2) intellectual property and (3) bankruptcy. Consideration is also being given to adding a professional liability committee. To those members of the MBA who practice in this area of complex litigation, we invite you to join this section and take advantage of the numerous opportunities to become involved and to help us make it a vibrant addition to the Massachusetts Bar Association and our legal community. To join, click on Complex Litigation or contact Jean Stevens at jstevens@massbar.org. The dates for upcoming meetings of the Complex Commercial Litigation Section Council Meeting and the practice groups under this new section are listed on the MBA Events Calendar at www.massbar.org through which you can register to attend any of the meetings.
