The Massachusetts Bar Association is presenting its 11th Annual In-House Counsel Conference on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 9:15 AM-1 PM at the Massachusetts Bar Association, 20 West Street, Boston, MA. The conference is preceded by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Business and Law Breakfast from 7:30-9 AM and sponsored by Yurko, Salvesen & Remz.
Opening Speaker: Edward Seksay, General Counsel of Rockland Trust Company and its parent bank holding company Independent Bank Corp. Attorney Seksay will address the evolving roles and responsibilities of the Chief Legal Officer including the importance of effective decision-making and efficiency and quality of service in the in-house law department.
View from the Bench: Hon. F. Dennis Saylor IV, United States District Court. Judge Saylor will comment on issues particularly affecting in-house counsel, including evolving standards for discovery of electronically stored information.
