    The Massachusetts Bar Association's Juvenile & Child Welfare Section Council is soliciting nominations for its Sixth Annual Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Award. The award honors an individual practitioner whose work exemplifies excellence in the field of juvenile and/or child welfare law jurisprudence.

    In order to be eligible, the candidate must be a MBA member (or willing to become one prior to receiving recognition) with a demonstrated commitment to juvenile justice and/or child welfare practice, embody the ideals of high-quality representation, and have meaningful engagement in the juvenile justice and/or child welfare field through their advocacy, leadership and/or community involvement. The award is limited to attorneys and judges. Nominees must commit to attending the awards ceremony.

    The award will be presented at the annual conference hosted by the MBA's Juvenile & Child Welfare Section on April 10, 2025at UTEC in Lowell, MA

    We encourage all of you to nominate your colleagues who inspire you most. To nominate a candidate, please email Savannah Dolan (sdolan@massbar.org) with the nominee's name and contact information, a brief description of their accomplishments and qualifications, and any pertinent references. We also encourage you to share this information with other organizations that may be interested. The nominations should be submitted to Savannah no later than March 10th, at close of business (5 p.m.).
