The Impact of the New Medical Malpractice Laws

Prior to his role as Massachusetts Bar Association vice president, Jeffrey N. Catalano was one of the drafters of the new medical malpractice laws. Catalano will discuss the intent of the new legislation to encourage more transparency and earlier medical negligence claim resolutions.  

Catalano will also address the new laws' procedural requirements and what is necessary to protect patient rights. Finally, he will also discuss the anticipated impact of the new legislation on patient safety efforts.
