When the People Rise: How Black Collective Resistance Drives Reform

Join the Massachusetts Bar Association and its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for a special celebration on Wednesday, June 17, commemorating the effective end of slavery in the United States: Juneteenth, short for June 19, marks the day federal troops informed enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, that they were free.

Speakers at this year's event include:

  • Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association President Theresa Wilson: Closing remarks
